Tatenda began his football career at the chitungwiza academy in 2008,It is here where his profound love for the game was found at such a tender age he showed a lot of promise.His career started to take shape when he enrolled at Chemhanza high school which is known for its prowess in producing top quality players, in recent years 2011-2014 he was enrolled at Alban academy until his call up to professional football to Harare city FC where he is performing exceptionally well in his career
